The report says a four-storey mural is being painted at 645 Congress Street, using the club’s blue and green colours around the message “Lead with Your Heart.” At least 10 supporters are expected to feature in the design, including season-ticket holders, newer fans and Dana Ricker, a teacher known for leading chants with a bullhorn.
Portland artist Ryan Adams is reportedly creating the work with Spenser Macleod and Mike Rich. The faces were selected from hundreds of photographs taken at matches, turning familiar figures from the stands into permanent parts of the city landscape.
Satterthwaite’s portrait is reportedly around 10 feet high. That scale makes the symbolism hard to miss: for a young professional club, the supporters are not background decoration. They are part of the identity being sold to the wider city.
The report says Hearts of Pine vice-president of marketing Josh Lane backed a central location because the club wanted its message of belonging to reach beyond Fitzpatrick Stadium and matchdays.
That approach fits the club’s wider ambitions. The update says Hearts of Pine have also proposed an 11,000-seat waterfront stadium and hope to commission more public art around Portland. Those plans remain part of a longer-term story, but the mural offers something immediate and visible.
A dedication ceremony is planned for 24 September, giving supporters a chance to see the finished work together. The next test will be whether the mural becomes more than a striking landmark-whether it helps turn Hearts of Pine into an even deeper part of Portland’s everyday life.
