The Class AA quarterfinals and Class A semifinals are set for October 10, followed by the Class AA semifinals on October 13. All four finals will be played at the Allen Mitchell Athletic Complex.

Sioux Falls Lincoln is aiming for a fourth consecutive Class AA boys’ championship and starts at home against Yankton. The remaining quarterfinals are Watertown versus Pierre, Sioux Falls Christian versus Brandon Valley, Aberdeen Central versus Tea Area, Rapid City Stevens versus Harrisburg, Spearfish versus Sioux Falls Roosevelt, Sioux Falls Washington versus Brookings, and Sioux Falls Jefferson versus O’Gorman.
In the Class AA girls’ bracket, Pierre hosts Rapid City Central, while defending champion Harrisburg faces Spearfish. Other first-round matchups include Brookings against Brandon Valley, Aberdeen Central against Tea Area, O’Gorman against Sturgis, Watertown against Sioux Falls Jefferson, Rapid City Stevens against Mitchell, and Yankton against Sioux Falls Lincoln.
Harrisburg is chasing a fifth straight Class AA girls’ title, while Sioux Falls Christian enters the Class A girls’ bracket as a two-time defending champion. James Valley Christian is the reigning Class A boys’ champion.
James Valley Christian opens against Dakota Valley, with Vermillion facing St. Thomas More/Rapid City Christian, Freeman-Marion-Parker/Viborg-Hurley meeting West Central, and Hot Springs taking on Groton Area. Sioux Falls Christian begins its girls’ defence against Belle Fourche.
The first Tuesday results will establish the early momentum, but the decisive storyline arrives in Watertown on October 17, when four champions are crowned.
