Everton have reportedly stepped up their interest in Brooke Norton-Cuffy, with Genoa said to be open to a deal worth around £17 million.
The right-back has completed his first season in Serie A after coming through Arsenal’s academy and remains involved with England Under-21s. His reported willingness to return to the Premier League strengthens Everton’s position, although the move is not confirmed.
The signing would also offer tactical flexibility. Jake O’Brien could return to central defence, his established position, while Norton-Cuffy would provide a specialist option on the right.
Leeds United are reportedly increasingly confident of signing Tarik Muharemovic from Juventus. Talks remain focused on the transfer fee, so an agreement has not yet been reached.
The defender’s reported positive stance towards a move to Elland Road is the clearest market signal in the deal. For a newly promoted side preparing for the Premier League, adding a Bosnia international could strengthen competition at the heart of the defence.
Leeds still need to settle the financial details before confidence can become a completed transfer.
Thomas Meunier is expected to undergo a medical before potentially signing a reported two-year contract with Sunderland. The Belgian is available after leaving Lille without a transfer fee.
His experience stands out. Meunier has played for Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund and has extensive international experience with Belgium. For Sunderland, the move would add a proven defender while limiting the initial cost of recruitment.
The next few days should clarify whether Everton can meet Genoa’s valuation, whether Leeds can close the gap with Juventus and whether Meunier completes his medical. Until then, all three remain reported moves rather than confirmed deals.
