The report says Texas Tech has seven wins and four draws this season, including three victories and one draw in conference play. Three straight wins have followed the opening-day draw with UCF.
Oklahoma State’s conference campaign has been less consistent:
That gap makes Thursday’s fixture important. Oklahoma State cannot afford another result that allows the leading pack to pull away.
Despite the uneven results, Oklahoma State’s attack has improved sharply. The report says the team has scored 26 goals in 12 matches, compared with 20 goals across 19 games last season.
Sonora DeFini has led that improvement. The forward has scored five goals, already surpassing her total from her freshman campaign, when she finished as the team’s second-highest scorer with four.
Her movement and finishing will be central against a Texas Tech defence that has helped deliver three consecutive victories. The hosts need DeFini involved early rather than relying on a late response.
Taylor Zdrojewski is the clearest attacking reference for Texas Tech. The report credits her with seven goals and 42 shots, twice as many attempts as any other player in the squad.
She has placed 20 efforts on target, making her the player Oklahoma State must track most closely. Limiting her space could determine whether the Cowgirls stay in the contest.
Texas Tech has won the last three meetings, while Oklahoma State’s most recent victory came in 2020. The next chapter arrives Thursday, before Oklahoma State travels to face UCF on Sunday.
