Arsenal Reshape Their Attack With Tzolis, Rogers and Alvarez

Tzolis adds immediate production

The reported move from Club Brugge would give Mikel Arteta a left-sided attacker after Leandro Trossard’s departure. Tzolis arrives with a strong recent record, having scored 22 goals and supplied 29 assists in all competitions last season.

That output gives Arsenal a direct threat in wide areas, but the recruitment also reflects a need for greater variety. Tzolis can provide width and goal involvement, while his return to England would represent a significant step after his previous spell at Norwich.

Rogers and Alvarez raise the ambition

Arsenal’s interest in Morgan Rogers is reportedly separate from the Tzolis agreement. The Aston Villa forward would offer another profile in the front line, reinforcing the view that Arsenal are seeking depth and competition across several positions.

Julian Alvarez remains a more ambitious target. Initial discussions with Atletico Madrid have reportedly taken place, although Barcelona are said to have offered just over £100m and believe the Argentina international prefers a move to Spain.

Gyokeres presents the difficult choice

A potential swap involving Viktor Gyokeres has also been discussed. Atletico are reportedly interested in the Arsenal striker, but the decision carries a clear sporting cost: Alvarez would add mobility and proven scoring quality, while Gyokeres remains another senior option for Arteta.

The wider recruitment picture includes reported interest in Manu Kone and teenage winger Andria Bartishvili, while goalkeeper Remi Lupinski has already signed his first professional contract.

The next storyline is whether Arsenal turn this collection of attacking targets into a settled forward line before the transfer window closes-and whether Gyokeres remains central to it.
