Belchertown’s turnaround began with its goalkeeper. The report says the team earned consecutive wins for the first time this season, defeating Pope Francis and Minnechaug without conceding.
That defensive shift gives Belchertown a clearer route forward. After struggling earlier in the campaign, the team now has a measurable foundation: two wins and two clean sheets in its latest sequence.
At the top of the Moriarty League, Mount Greylock reportedly collected two wins and a draw from three league matches. Kieran Johnson powered that run with five goals.
Johnson scored and assisted against Easthampton, netted the only goal against Wahconah, then completed a hat-trick against Taconic. The burst took him to eight goals for the season and made him Mount Greylock’s leading scorer.
Pathfinder Tech also continues to lean heavily on its front man. Cayden Bousquet scored three times against Commerce and added both goals in a defeat by Holyoke. The report says he leads the region with 24 goals, has scored in 10 of Pathfinder’s 12 matches, and has three games left to move closer to 50 career goals.
Pittsfield climbed to second in the Churchill after three straight victories. Amos Ezan scored four times during the week, including a hat-trick against Minnechaug, after entering the campaign without a goal.
In the Frontier, Xavier Fripp delivered a late 1-0 winner against Westfield and finished the week with two goals and an assist.
The next two weeks will decide whether Belchertown’s defensive revival becomes a playoff place, while Mount Greylock’s title challenge and Bousquet’s scoring chase remain the region’s key storylines.
