Crysencio Summerville Reportedly Nears Al-Hilal Move

Leeds form built the case

Summerville’s defining campaign came in 2023-24, when he scored 21 goals and supplied 10 assists in all competitions for Leeds. That output earned him the Championship Player of the Season award and changed the perception of his game.

He was no longer simply a winger who created separation and delivered from the flank. His scoring became central to his value, with the Dutchman increasingly attacking central spaces and finishing moves himself.

Across his Leeds first-team career, Summerville recorded 25 goals and 13 assists in 89 appearances. Those numbers explain why Al-Hilal would view him as more than a supplementary creator.

West Ham spell adds context

His record at West Ham was more modest but still productive. Summerville made 56 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists after joining in the summer of 2024.

The contrast with his final Leeds season is important. Al-Hilal would be investing in the upside of a player who has already produced at an elite level in the Championship, while betting that the same directness can translate more consistently in a new attacking environment.

His route to that point has included Feyenoord’s academy, loans at Dordrecht and ADO Den Haag, and senior football in England. That progression gives him experience beyond a single breakout campaign.

Could Raphinha follow?

There is also a potential reunion storyline. Summerville played alongside Raphinha at Leeds during the 2021-22 season, and the Brazilian has reportedly been linked with Al-Hilal as well.

For now, Raphinha’s situation remains separate and unconfirmed. Summerville’s move is the more advanced deal, but its final chapter still depends on the official announcement. The next storyline will be whether Al-Hilal can turn one Leeds connection into two.
