Pep Guardiola should have been happy – his team had just won in the final minutes of overtime with a Raheem Sterling top bins curler.
But there he was laying into Southampton’s Nathan Redmond whose only crime, apparently, was being too skillful to be playing such negative football.
That was the Manchester City boss’s explanation anyway in an interview after his team’s 2-1 victory.
The Sun in England quoted a lipreader as saying Pep’s language was a little harsher, calling the winger a w****r.
Either way, he certainly cares about the game…perhaps a little too much?
