Becky Vardy’s rise to fame has been almost as meteoric as her goal-scoring husband.
While the Leicester City striker has risen from non-league football to become one of the most feared hit men in European football, his wife went from being a party planner to a staple in Britain’s glossies and a tireless self-promoter.
She posted these photos on Instagram to show how her shape had changed during one year.
The couple had a fairytale wedding on May 25, 2016 at historic Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. Stunning in white, bride Rebekah “Becky” Nicholson walked down the aisle in a dress by Knightsbridge-based Caroline Castigliano, whose gowns range from £4,000 to £7,000.

Vardy first met the sultry brunette in a nightclub in January 2014, and she was later asked to organize a party for an up-and-coming football star as part of her job as an events planner.
At that time, Becky already had two children, Megan and Taylor, from previous relationships and Vardy had a little girl, Ella, with ex-girlfriend Emma Daggett. Vardy and Becky also now have a daughter Sofia, who was born in December, 2014 and the couple welcomed their newest arrival, Finlay, in January, 2017.
Becky’s credited with taming the sharpshooter, who’s had a few brushes with trouble in the past.
“It certainly wasn’t an immediate attraction when I did meet him,” Becky recalled in an interview published in ‘Jamie Vardy’s Having a Party: Leicester City’s Miracle Season’ by David Gardner. “It took a lot of persuasion on Jamie’s part to get me remotely interested,” she added.
However, as we now know, Vardy is not one to give up easily.
“I must have said, ‘No thanks I’m not interested’ for the best part of two months – he was very persistent though, asking me to go for a drink.
“It’s just the same as with his career – he never gives up! But he won me over or we wouldn’t be sat here now. When we did go for a drink he made me laugh a lot, but mainly I thought, ‘This guy’s insane!’”
